Hosts Linamar record impressive victory

In the women's MEVZA Cup last year's silver medal winners Linamar Bekescsabai RSE celebrated their fourth win in their sixth match on Wednesday. The favourites performed really well and claimed a quite compelling home victory (25-13, 25-15,25-11) over VK UP Olomouc of the Czech Republic. As a result, Linamar drew level with currently championship leaders and titleholders Calcit Ljubljana on twelve points. The Slovenian side has not dropped a point in the four matches they have contested so far.

The women's competition will continue on January 31 when Calcit Ljubljana will welcome Slavia EU Bratislava. The men's MEVZA Cup will resume on February 12 with tournaments in Kastela, Kazincbarcika and Kamnik. The regular season will come to a close on March 1.
